Process Description
This section of the website allows you to estimate your monthly benefit if you retire meeting all eligiblity requirements and also if you retire early.
 
Form 1: Enter Information
(to Estimate your Maximum Gross Monthly Benefit)
This section requests that you enter your anticipated retirement date, the amount of service credit you have earned and your average monthly compensation.
Anticipated retirement date - This is the date that you expect to retire meeting all eligibility requirements imposed by PERS.

Service credit you have earned or purchased with PERS - Service credit is the number of years, months, and days of credit that you have earned in the system. You will receive a percentage of your pay for service credit earned or purchased depending on your membership date.

Average monthly compensation - The monthly average of the highest consecutive 36 months of salary reported by your employer. This includes base pay, call back pay, shift differential and longevity, but not overtime.
 
Calculation Results
This section displays the result of your calculation. This amount is an estimate of your monthly benefit based on the information you supplied.
Maximum Gross Monthly Benefit - This is the maximum gross monthly benefit that is calculated based on the above factors.
 
Form 2: Enter Information
(to Estimate your Monthly Benefit minus Early Retirement Reduction)
This section requests that you enter the number of months you are under your full retirement age.
Number of months you are under your full retirement age - This number is used to calculate the amount by which your benefit will be reduced.
 
Calculation Results
This section displays the result of your calculation. This amount is an estimate of your monthly benefit if you plan to retire before meeting full retirement eligibility based on service credit and age.
Monthly Benefit minus Early Retirement Reduction - This is the reduced gross monthly benefit if you plan to retire before meeting full retirement eligibility based on service credit and age.
