Where do I get more information on my earned service credit?
- Log into your www.nvpers.org account.
- On “Your Account Information” click the "Member Account" link (Left side of the screen).
- On the bottom of your screen you will see a section called "Service Credit". This is where you can view your current earned service credit.
If you would like a more detailed screen of these service credit years follow these steps:
- Log into your www.nvpers.org account.
- On “Your Account Information” click the "Member Account" link (Left side of the screen).
- Look at the bottom right section of the screen just below "Service Credit". You will see a link for "Account Details".
- Account details will give your the service credit earned yearly. You can also click into each year and see how it was earned month by month.
How do you change your password?
- Log into your www.nvpers.org account.
- On the “Your account information” page click on the "User Settings" link (Left side of the screen).
- Type in the Old password.
- Type in the New password.
- Confirm your New password and click on update.
- Confirm these changes on the next screen and click "Save These Changes".
How do I know if I am paperless?
- Log into your www.nvpers.org account.
- On the “Your account information” page click on the "User Settings" link (Left side of the screen).
- At the top of the page you should see "Go Paperless" and a check box next to it.
- If this box is checked you are verified as paperless and you can view your EFT notices. If it is not you have not been verified as paperless.
How do I update my direct deposit information?
- Log into your www.nvpers.org account.
- On “Your Account Information” click the "Direct Deposit" link (Left side of the screen).
- Type in your new direct deposit account information.
- Confirm your new direct deposit information and click blue "add/change direct deposit" button.
- Confirm these changes on the next screen and click "Save These Changes".
How do I reset my email address?
- Log into your www.nvpers.org account.
- On “Your Account Information” click the "User Settings" link (Left side of the screen).
- Type in your new e-mail address.
- Confirm your new e-mail address and click “update”.
- Confirm these changes on the next screen and click "Save These Changes".
There will be a confirmation page to confirm the E-mail address is correct.
How do I update my Survivor Beneficiary information?
To have a Beneficiary SSN added in our system, you will need to print and submit a copy of the Survivor Beneficiary Designation Form.
Why can't I use the benefit/purchase estimator?
The in-account Benefit Estimator is unable to perform estimates for those members who are members of two employee groups (Regular and Police/Fire), members who have been reported as less than full time in the previous 3 years, members who have recently purchased time, and members who work for specifically Fire.
If you have recently purchased time please wait until your employers next reporting and you will once again be able to use the benefit estimators. All the above members can use the "Generic Benefit Estimator" and "Generic Purchase Estimator".Why am I receiving the error, "We have no record for the information provided"?
This error means that you have answered a question incorrectly on the account creation part 2 of 2. Only 2 out of the 3 questions are required in order to create your online account. When you reach part 2 of 2 think of these answers carefully and remember when it asks for your total service credit years you need to round up to the nearest whole number (do not round down). If you are unsure of these answers please call us at (775) 687-4200 and we will be able to assist you with these questions.
How can i update my address and/or phone number?
- Log into your www.nvpers.org account.
- On “Your Account Information” click the "Mailing Address & Phone" link (Left side of the screen).
- You will then see the corresponding update buttons, "Change Mailing Address", "Edit Home Phone" and "Edit Business Phone".
Where can I view my 1099R?
(For retirees and benefit recipients)
When 1099Rs are available for viewing, please follow the instructions below:
- Log into your www.nvpers.org account.
- Upon login look towards the left side of the screen and find the link that says '1099R'.
- It will then populate all 1099Rs. The most recent 1099R will be the top options.
You can click into each of these documents and print as needed. If a duplicate is needed, you can also click the blue 'Request Copy' button. It will ask for the specified year and a good mailing address. If you have any questions about your 1099R please give us a call at (775) 687-4200 and ask for a counseling services representative.
Where can I view my Annual Statements?
- Log into your www.nvpers.org account.
- On the “Your account information” page click on the "View Annual Statements" link (Left side of the screen).
- Here you'll find your most recent and previous Annual Statements.
Can I change my user name?
Unfortunately there is no way to change your username on www.nvpers.org without deleting your account entirely and creating a new one.
If you would like to proceed with this change please call the Help Desk at (775) 687-4200 and we will delete your current account. We cannot do this request through email.
