POLICE & FIREMEN'S RETIREMENT FUND ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING

October 20, 2005

This agenda was posted at PERS, 693 West Nye Lane, Carson City; 5820 South Eastern Blvd, Suite 220, Las Vegas; Washoe County Airport Authority Fire Department, 1910 National Guard Way, Reno; and Clark County Fire Department, 575 East Flamingo Road, Las Vegas.

The meeting was called to order at 10:32 a.m. at the Public Employees' Retirement System, at 5820 South Eastern Avenue, Suite 220, Las Vegas, NV. Members present: Rich Tiran, Rusty McAllister and Fred Galey. Bill Loncar attended via conference call from Carson City. Members absent: Dean Molburg.

1. COMMITTEE (All items under this heading are action items)

1. On a motion by Rich Tiran, seconded by Fred Galey, the Committee voted unanimously to approve the Minutes of the PFRFAC meeting held July 21, 2005.

2. On a motion by Fred Galey, seconded by Rich Tiran, the Committee voted to unanimously adopt the proposed PFRFAC meeting dates for calendar year 2006, as submitted.

1. State of Nevada - Department of Corrections
1. Prison Industries Supervisor I

On a motion by Rich Tiran, seconded by Rusty McAllister, the Committee voted unanimously to recommend promotional coverage for the Prison Industries Supervisor I position with the State of Nevada - Department of Corrections.

2. State of Nevada - Department of Public Safety
1. State Fire Marshal, DPS Captain

On a motion by Rich Tiran, seconded by Fred Galey, the Committee voted unanimously to defer consideration for the State Fire Marshal, DPS Captain position with the State of Nevada - Department of Public Safety until the January 26, 2006,Committee meeting to be held in Carson City.

1. Juvenile Probation Detention Supervisor

On a motion by Rich Tiran, seconded by Rusty McAllister, the Committee voted unanimously to recommend approved coverage for the Juvenile Probation Detention Supervisor position with Douglas County.

4. Eureka County
1. Chief Juvenile Probation Officer

On a motion by Rich Tiran, seconded by Rusty McAllister, the Committee voted unanimously to recommend approved coverage for the Chief Juvenile Probation Officer position with Eureka County

Dana Bilyeu provided information related to the Retirement Board meeting held October 19, 2005.

Patti Keyes invited the Committee members to attend the 2nd Annual Liaison Officer Conference to be held November 15, 2005, in Las Vegas. She also provided the Committee with an update regarding pending position coverage requests.
